Gloria Blazeiko passed away Sunday, June 15, 2014 at St. Paul's Hospital in Saskatoon at the age of 62. Gloria was born in Foam Lake, Saskatchewan on August 14, 1951 to Metro and Marie Melnychuk. She married Walter Blazeiko on June 27, 1974 and they spent more of their 40 years together in Foam Lake working hard and raising their two children Brianna and Trevor. In the days of her health she was never idle. Gloria was a kind soul and notably a wholesome and bountiful cook. She was a classic, old-fashioned host and always enjoyed having family and friends visit. She especially looked forward to visits from her children and grandchildren. Her proudest and most passionate role was that of grandma to her young grandchildren and her most treasured moments in her life were always those that she spent with her family. Gloria is remembered and sadly missed by her husband Walter; her daughter Brianna (Mark Dutton); son Trevor (Kimberly Antonishyn); her grandchildren Charlie and Sam Dutton and Zoe Blazeiko; sisters Beverlie Gangel, Audrie Johnson, Elanor Sober and Iris Steg; and brothers Milton Melnychuk and Martin Melnychuk as well as numerous extended family members she held very dear to her heart.
