Obituary
Funeral Service for the late Gertrude (Gerti) Morrow was held on Friday, January 25th in the Foote Copeland United Church, Foote Copeland SK. Internement to follow in the Foote COpeland Cemetery. Donation's may be made in Gertrude's memory to the Foote Copeland Memorial fund; Care of Sheila Doidge box 1694 Wynyard, Sask S0A 4T0 Gertie passed away peacefully at Wynyard Hospital on Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013 at the age of 81. Gertie was born Jan. 23, 1931 to George and Martha Third in Craik, Sask., then moved to the Raymore district where she took her schooling at Poplarview. She worked at different jobs and helped out on the farm. She married Gordon Morrow on June 16, 1955 and they lived in the Copeland district where they raised their 6 children. They farmed for many years. Gertie loved to garden, milk cows, raise chickens, picking raspberries, strawberries and wild berries, making jams, jellies, baking bread and buns, knitting mitts and quilting. The last quilt Gertie made was sold in silent auction at Shades of Pink on Jan. 19, 2013 to Sheila Doidge. Gertie was predeceased by her parents Martha and George; husband Gordon, May 2001; son Garry, March 2012; brother Geordie May 1997; sister Jean Stilborn March 2012; brother-in-law Clarence Stilborn Feb. 2012, and granddaughter Laura Bergquist June 2002. Gertie leaves to mourn her daughter Dianne (Conrad) Bergquist and their children Bonnie (Darryl) Hague, Chloe, Lexis and Ty; Kevin (Jody) Michael and Emma; Jim (Crystal) Makayla and Austin; and Lisa. Her son Harold; daughter Donna; daughter Karen (Dallas) Lorenz and their children Lyla (Dedrik) Senft, Kelly, Cora and Steven; son Lorne and his children Riley, Taylor and Caitlin; her brother Gordon (Verna) Third; sister Margaret Third; sister-in-law Carole Third; brother Don (Darlene) Third and numerous nieces and nephews.
