Prayer Service: 7:00 p.m. Friday, May 27, 2016 Wishart Ukrainian Catholic Church, Wishart, Saskatchwan Funeral Mass: 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 28, 2016 Wishart Ukarainian Catholic Church Wishart, Saskatchewan Edward Lewandoski was born February 4, 1933 on the farm homestead in the Honey Bank District. He was the 13th child of 19. His parents were Walter and Katherine (nee Wachno). In his early life he spent one winter away working in Ontario. But the love of the farm and his family and the fondness of a very special young lady compelled him to return home to help on the family farm. He fell in love and married Phyllis Wolitski on October 1, 1958. They were blessed with 57 years of marriage. Edward and Phyllis have 4 children: Linda, Peggy, Kevin and Jason. Farming and family were his life’s passion. He enjoyed working in the fields, cutting grass, fishing and gardening along side Phyllis. Edward will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his wife Phyllis and children; daughters - Linda (Alphonse) Sokul, Peggy (Dwayne) Mlynarczyk and sons - Kevin (Joan) and Jason (Denise). Granchildren: Jennifer Bolt, Kyle (Gillian) and Tanner (Caity) Sokul; Gillian, Jaelyn (Adam) and Brynn Mlynarczyk; Josh (Lindsay), Adam (Jodi), Rhea and Elly Lewandoski. Great grandchildren: Hillary and Hudson Bolt, Grayson Sokul, Victoria Lewandoski, Issac Schroeder, Tatum Schroeder Kitzul, Edward and William Lewandoski. Also by brother Dan (Loretta) Lewandoski, sisters Marge Szwec, Teresa (Steve) Kekish and Lillian (Gordon) Walker. And sister-in-laws Roseanne and Muriel and numerous nieces and nephews. Edward was predeceased by his parents Walter and Katherine; siblings: Pauline, Annie, John, Paul, Mike, Olga, Steve, Eugene, Mary, Wesley, James, Henry, Joe, Alice and baby Hope. He will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
