Obituary
FERGUSON, Burton Lee August 30, 1938 - January 7, 2017 Burt passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Saturday January 7 at Quill Plains Centennial Lodge in Watson. His memory will be lovingly carried on by his wife, Joan; his step children Cyndy Punter (Craig), Mike Fouhse (Darlene) and Laura Fouhse (Jordan); his grandchildren Adam, Candace, Daniel, Kayla, Jerry, Hope and Madison; his siblings Elnora Whelan (Everett), Lynn Tunstall (Bob), Hugh Ferguson (Fern) and sister-in-law Margaret Ferguson; and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Aylmer and Zella Ferguson; his siblings Luther, Lois and Isa; and his first wife Dorothy. Burt was a quirky, endearing guy who will be most remembered for his sense of humour, kind heart, openness and acceptance of others. He was a deeply spiritual man with a gift for healing. Burt journeyed for more than 40 years along the 12 step path of Alcoholics Anonymous. His wisdom, courage and strength were an inspiration to many. The family would like to express their deep gratitude for the excellent care he received at Chateau Providence Care Home in St. Brieux and Quill Plains Centennial Lodge in Watson. A celebration of his life will be announced at a later date.
