Dear Grandpa, I miss your smile...and your laughter. I miss hanging out with you at the lake and you warning us to wear our life jackets in the canoe! I miss your sense of humour and your generous spirit. I know you have made heaven a little bit brighter for everyone up there. Give Nan a huge hug for us all. Love Shilo

I have fond memories as a student at Wimmer School. Mr Coleman encouraged his students to study hard, get an education and of course, he taught us track & field and softball. He was so proud of his Wimmer softball team that won the trophy at the Wadena Unit meet. My thoughts and prayers are with the family and in a positive light knowing that Mr. Coleman will be with Rita. Rita was a wonderful person and mother. Blessings to all of the family.

My deepest condolences to the Coleman Family. I have many fond memories of my years at Quill Lake High School and always admired and respected Mr. Coleman. He was my favourite teacher! In more recent years, I enjoyed my visits with him when I bumped into him at the rink or downtown. He always had a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye. He will be dearly missed by family, friends and former students. I'm sorry I can't attend the funeral as I will be out of the country but I will be thinking of all of you. With sincerest sympathies, Wendy Field (McEwen)

My deepest sympathy to the Coleman family on the passing of their father Tom. I will always remember "uncle" Tom as a wonderful, happy, and outgoing man, so full of life. Many of my best childhood memories center around uncle Tom, auntie Rita, and the Coleman children. Even as a young child uncle Tom made me feel welcome whenever our family would come to visit, and never did I feel I was being treated as a child. Of course I shared Tom's passion for hunting, and I am grateful for all the times I was included on goose hunts with the adults. I regret that circumstances prevent me from being able to attend the funeral, but I will be there in spirit. I will make a donation in memory of Tom to the Terry Fox Foundation.

As time relentlessly marches onward. and loved ones pass from this earthly realm, may there be comfort in cherished memories. Sending condolences to the family of Mr. Tom Coleman, a man who will be remembered, a life lived well. I would like to share the following poem. The origin of this poem is unknown to myself, but I share it with the hope that it may bring comfort to others, as it has done for me in the past. Look for me in Rainbows Time for me to go now, I won't say good-bye Look for me in rainbows, way up in the sky. In the morning sunrise, when all the world is new, Just look for me and love me, as you know I loved you. Time for me to leave you, I won't say good-bye Look for me in rainbows, high up in the sky. In the evening sunset, when all the world is through, Just look for me and love me, and I'll be close to you. It won't be forever, the day will come and then My loving arms will hold you, when we meet again. Time for us to part now, we won't say good-bye' Look for me in rainbows, shining in the sky. Every waking moment and all your whole life through Just look for me and love me, as I know I loved you. Just wish me to be near you And I'll be there with you.

Sincere and heartfelt condolences to all the Coleman family. I feel blessed that I had the opportunity to work with Tom as a young practice teacher at Quill Lake School in the late 70's. He was such a strong mentor for me then and now after 31 years of teaching and retirement Tom will remain one of my strongest influences. I am proud to have known him and celebrate a "life well lived" You will be greatly missed and I thank you for being part of my journey.

My heartfelt condolences go out to the entire Coleman family. I had the pleasure of learning from Tom both at school, at the arena, and goose hunting. We were always so excited when we heard that Mr. Coleman would be our coach for the season. He helped instill a mentoring legacy that I use currently with my coaching. He pushed hard and allowed us to improve to the best of our abilities. Although, Tom used to call me a "prune" all the time. I don't use that lingo in this day and age. I am sure he's upstairs right now telling people to skate hard and shoot low! Thanks for all the positive influence growing up, you will be missed but not ever forgotten.

Grandpa Charlie...a piece of my heart has gone with you. I will cherish every moment I spent with you. Right down to crawling into your bed at the lake when it was storming because I was such a wimp...to singing with you... learning from you and holding your hand. Even as an adult you still took my hand in yours. You have accepted me as I am , you have loved my children like your own. Our thoughts, prayers and love to the Coleman Family as we mourn the passing of Uncle Tom. We will never forget his passion for mentorship that spanned his professional career as a teacher and his dedication to coaching hockey. Always with a smile, always with a kind word, always with an energy and zest for life - and if you were his nephew, a poke to ribs, a laugh and a call-out like "high-pockets"... Love you Uncle Tom and just like you to come home to Auntie Rita on her birthday!!! Love and prayers to you all - hoping that your grief soon turns to fond remembrance of a life well lived. I am going to do my best to teach my boys the many things you were able to teach me (fishing, hunting, golfing, water skiing) among so many more of the life lessons you taught me. I love you with all my heart and will miss you dearly and look forward to the time we meet again. Till then Grandpa. Love Ty
