Obituary
Our father, grandfather and great grandfather went to his eternal rest May 17, 2019 at the age of 91 years. Adam was born on April 3, 1928 in the Wishart district to Michael and Kathryn (nee Hajewich). Adam had 6 brothers and 5 sisters. His father died at an early age leaving Adam to help his mom and younger siblings, resulting in him being quite a good cook. He worked for a short time at a sawmill in Ontario, before moving back to the farm. On Oct. 11, 1958 he married Sylvia Malinowski where they began their farming career on a small parcel of land just north of Wishart, they raised a family of 7 children. Adam also drove the school bus for the Wishart District. Due to back surgery Adam sold his land in April 1976 and moved to Wynyard. Adam worked a short time at Crawford Foods, before moving on to be caretaker at the High School. His love of driving then found him working for the Town of Wynyard driving the Special Services Bus, delivering meals to Seniors, and taking them to their appointments. Adam also helped out his younger sons, pumping gas at the Shell gas station. Adam’s love for playing cards and billiards, made him purchase the local Pool Hall, whom with help from his older brother Raymond, enjoyed serving the older crowd with Pool and the younger crowd with pinball. Adam retired early in age due to back problems, later on beginning his battle with numerous cancers. In the fall of 2017, his health had deteriorated to the point that he took up residence at the Golden Acres Nursing Home in Wynyard, where he resided until his passing. Adam was predeceased by his wife Sylvia Malinowski, parents Michael and Kathryn (nee Hajewich), brothers: Pete, Paul, Bill, Raymond, Steve and James; sisters: Pauline Ewanski, Marie Mook, Annie Shewchuk, Rose Chyz. Adam leaves to mourn his passing his children: Diana (Tim Fulmes), Leonard, Dennis, Dorothy, Neil, Jamie, Jason (Leigha Kostyk); grandchildren: Michelle Guenther, Jody Klimkiewicz, David Guenther, Justice Zemlak, and Paecious Wildeman; great grandchildren: Gibson and Oliver; Adam’s sister Elsie Malinowski; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Donations in memory of Adam may be made to Golden Acres Nursing Home Auxiliary Fund
