Elsie Cecilia Harvey (Gradin) passed away on March 2, 2018. She was born on November 18,1933, the 5th of nine children, to Elis and Sadie (Carrie) Gradin of Hendon, Saskatchewan. Elsie attended Moosehorn School from grades 1-10. Her first job was at the café in Hendon, and later at the Hendon Coop Store. In 1952, Elsie married Norman Harvey and lived on the family farm where they raised their four children, Bruce, Delaine, Beverly & Lois. Elsie had a great love for knitting, crocheting, sewing and quilting. We all treasure the special quilts she made for each of us! Elsie really enjoyed the years she and Norman were involved with square dancing & pattern dancing. Together they brought music to many communities and made numerous close and dear friends along the way. Elsie cherished her cats; loved feeding the birds and each spring looked forward to the arrival of the new baby bison. Elsie was predeceased by her twin sister, “Baby girl Gradin,” parents, Elis & Sadie Gradin; son-in-law, Rick Tweidt; husband, Norman Harvey; mother and father-in-law, Amanda & Lewis Harvey; brother, Elden Gradin; sisters, Eunice (Gordon) Hultin; Elna (Ed) Harmsworth; Iva (Walter) Wallster; brother-in-law, Milo (Edna) Harvey; sister-in-law, Leila Harvey. Elsie will be remembered by her four children; Bruce (Rose), Delaine (Don), Beverly, Lois (Morton); thirteen grandchildren; Greg (Dez) Chad (Iliana), Kris (Michelle), Cory (Tracy), Colin (Barb), Kari (Neil), Cole, Ty (Teralyn), Shasta, Sara, Jason, Shaunna (Shaun), Jillian; seventeen great-grandchildren; Mateya, Cohen, Jordan, Lucas, Kaleb, Brittney, Benjamin, Clair, Jesse, Kaitlyn, Rachel, Preston, Mary, Jadon, Reece, Owen & Madison. Elsie will also be remembered by her siblings; Glen (Diane) Gradin, Lynn (Connie) Gradin, Neil (Dianne) Gradin, Connie (Don) MacKay; sister-in-law, Marion Gradin; brother-in-law, Roger (Pat) Harvey, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
