Ernest was born at St. James, Saskatchewan on on July 18, 1928. He took his schooling at Hat Creek School. He worked for a time at home on the farm and also for farmers in Saskatchewan. In 1953, he moved to Saskatoon where he worked until 1970. In 1970, he moved to Calgary where he worked until he took early retirement in 1986 and worked part time until 1993 when he fully retired. In 1999 he moved back to Saskatoon. Ernest was predeceased by his father John Arp on September 9, 1994. His brother Louise Arp on August 10, 1996 and his Mother Theresa Arp (nee Simon) on November 17, 1999. May he rest in the peace of Christ.
