Obituary
Vera Timoshuk was born on April 24, 1930, at her home in the Fishing Lake District to Tom and Mary Timoshuk. Vera Attended school at Fishing Lake School. Growing up, Vera helped on the farm as much as she could, babysitting for Huie and Freda Ziola and Ciggy and Thelma Johnson. Vera was like a nanny for the Ziola, and Johnson families, returning home for the weekends. In 1948, Vera met Glen Flanders while he was posted with the railroad, and the two were united in marriage in 1955. After building a house in Fishing Lake, they began to start a family. Jerry was born in February of 1958, Wayne in January of 1960, and Sandra in December 1961. Vera especially enjoyed her gardening, flowers, and pets. Vera worked at the hospital in dietary, really enjoying her job for many years and retiring in 1994. With Vera's health failing, she moved into Wadena Park Lodge and a few years later became a resident of Pleasant View Lodge. Vera was predeceased by her parents, Tom and Mary Timoshuk; husband, Glen; parents-in-law Cecil and Davina Flander; and numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Vera leaves to mourn; her son, Jerry (Patti) their children, Kelsey (Quenton), Nicole (Mark), and Michelle (Marc); her son, Wayne (Bobbie) their children, Kristin (Chris), Derek, and Dustin; her daughter, Sandra (Dan) their children, Brett (Michelle), and Garrett (Vanessa); her great-grandchildren, Christopher, Parker, Avery, Zoe, and Josette; her siblings, Tom Timoshuk, Pete Timoshuk, Nadja (Bob West), Luba (Willie Bindig); her sister-in-law Norma (Morte) Siemans; her brother-in-law Harold Engele; and numerous nieces and nephews as well as extended family.
