Obituary
Dale Walter Pearson was the second child born to Walter and Doreen (King) Pearson on July 6, 1957, a brother to Glen and Ralph. Walter married Adele in 1974 and his sisters Tammy and Raeanne were born. Kelliher was always home to him. He enjoyed the “fast” pace of our little community. He was often seen touring the streets “bugging” whoever he could, morning coffee with Doug and Sharon, playing jokes with friends, visiting at King’s Automotive, watching our community kids playing sports or simply waving to the school kids as they walked by their house. His Cousins “the Mitru Girls” remember how Dale loved teasing them. As a child he used to tease the girls by waving a garter snake in front of Grandma’s outhouse. “He always loved to have fun!” Family and friends were very important to "Peacock". He was always there to help a friend. He was a person who believed in giving to others, expecting little in return. He took great pride in his time spent with others. His car was never home long. Dale enjoyed driving. One was never sure where he was heading or who he would meet along the way. Dale was often seen delivering or transporting vehicles for Kayter's or King's. One of his favorite memories was a trip taken with Ralph to the mountains, literally seeing the edge up close. He loved heading up to see Glen especially for their annual rodeo, slow pitch tournaments or just simply to say "hi". His travels often led him to Wagon Trek to see his dad, out to the farm for driving lessons with Kyan, to Ituna for coffee with Charles, a trip to LULU’s with Landon or heading to visit Rhonda and her family. After leaving school, Dale was employed at Westway Forwarding in Regina, then to Curtis Construction in the mid 70’s. In October 1984, Dale won the Western Express lottery and opened the D&M Hotel in Keeler, Saskatchewan. After selling the hotel, he was employed with Kirsh Construction until May of 1998 when an accident shattered his ankle, ending his working career. Dale was very active in his younger days. He played broomball, slow-pitch, baseball and hockey. Later on, he took pride in coaching minor ball. He became Landon’s biggest fan, never missing a game, or practice. Dale was diagnosed with cancer in the summer of 2016. He tried his hardest to remain at home as long as he could. On November 27, he was rushed to Fort Qu ‘Appelle then to Regina on Nov 28, where surgery took place to put stints in to drain his failing kidneys. After a brief stay in the Fort, he was transferred to Broadview on December 23, then back to Regina on January 4. On January 6, Dale was moved back to the Fort where he peacefully passed away on January 12, 2017, with family by his side. Dale is predeceased by his Mother, Doreen on February 8, 2010, Father, Walter on May 18, 2008, and Brother, Glen on September 30, 2003. He is survived by his Brother Ralph; Step-mother, Adele; Sisters: Tammy (Kevin) and Raeanne (Fred); Aunts: Edna Bindle, and Sheila Pearson; Cousins: Shelly (Ron) Kaminsky, Bonnie (Ward) Allen, Darcy (Donna) King, Lee Gross, Wendy (Doug) Mosan, The Mitru girls: Val (Wayne) Cameron, Darcee (Doug) Woods and Debbie Rogers; Dolores (Ernie) Hrynuik, Arlene Daw, Donna Onrait, Brenda (Lorne) Blight, Elaine Pearson, Eric Pearson, Diane Vollinger, Larry Vollinger, Bonnie Mooney (Darryle), Cheryl Vollinger, Linda Vollinger, Jasmine (Paul) Abrams, James (April) Pearson and their families.
