Eva passed away peacefully on February 19, 2020 at Golden Acres at the age of 92. She was born to Alex and Mary (Mardynalka) Bzdel on December 8, 1927 and received her education at the Royal Rock School. Eva married George Kucey, son of Nickolas and Anastasia (Lysay) Kucey on July 18, 1949. They farmed until 1990 when they retired to Wynyard. Eva enjoyed time spent in the garden and flower beds nurturing nature’s bounty. She enjoyed the trips they took, especially at Victoria when a whole day was spent touring the Butchart Gardens (Dad said it was a long day). Eva enjoyed cooking and baking; anyone who stopped by did not leave hungry. Eva is predeceased by parents, Alex and Mary (Mardynalka) Bzdel, Mary (Blyszczuk) Bzdel; brothers Nick, Pete (Jennie), Alex (Alexandra), Andrew and Joe; sisters Annie (Nick) Latoski and Olga (Pete) Onyskevitch. Eva will be lovingly remembered by son Larry (Michelle) Kucey, grandchildren Mitchell (Jeannie) Kucey and Meghan (Bill) Kucey. Daughter Charolette (Denis) Brakefield, grandchildren Kevin (Laura) Brakefield, great granddaughter Kirsten Brakefield; Ryan (Kim) Brakefield, great grandchildren Natalie Brakefield and Owen Brakefield. Eva is also survived by her sister-in-law Victoria (Nick) Bzdel, sister Mary (Steve) Kopchuk, brother Mike (Theresa) Bzdel, sister-in-law Dianne (Andrew), brother John Bzdel, sister-in-law Sylvia (Joe) Bzdel and sister Catherine (Sylvester) Bzdel.
