Obituary
Memorial Service 1:00 P.M. Saturday May 21, 2022 Wynyard Legion Hall Wynyard, SK Quinn was born the second son to John and Diane (Wolitski) Antochow in Calgary, AB on January 27, 1970. He was one of four children, along with his older brother Kevin, and younger sisters Charlene and Lynette. Quinn was raised a farm kid outside of Wynyard, SK where he attended school and played many sports. He was an accomplished athlete and claimed many trophies and medals for hockey, fastball, track and field, and cross country. Quinn was an avid fan of the Montreal Canadians. Quinn was very handy and held down various jobs throughout his life, including several years working on the rigs in Alberta and worked side by side with his Dad on the farm. He was often a go to for his sister’s whenever they needed something fixed; he was always willing to help. Quinn met Brandi Stewart, mother of his only child, and longtime friend in 2000. Together they had their daughter Mikayla. Quinn loved and adored Mikayla from the minute she was born and was blessed to share a very special father daughter bond with her. In his younger years, Quinn was a high energy, rambunctious and carefree kid. He had many friends and spent his time working hard and playing hard. He was a “brother” to a lot of his cousins who also spent many summers out at the farm. He loved the get togethers on the farm, playing horseshoes, bean bags, and sitting around the fire with family and friends. He would work many hours cutting grass and preparing for these special weekends. Quinn fought a long and hard battle with mental health and addiction issues that finally claimed his life on March 7, 2020. He was predeceased by his father, John Antochow. Left broken hearted is his daughter Mikayla Antochow, his mother Diane Antochow, brother Kevin Antochow, sister Charlene Pozniak, sister Lynette Antochow and “bro” Ryan Robson; nieces and nephews – Godchild Raquel, Justin, Alexa, Kyle, Abbi, Jillian, Zander, and Bethany; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Due to Covid-19 a memorial service has been postponed until such time that his family and friends can gather to celebrate Quinn and remember him for his kind and loving soul, great sense of humour, his gentle smile and genuine goodness. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to intrustformikayla@gmail.com. This account will be held in trust for Mikayla by Charlene Pozniak and Brandi Stewart to assist with her education and future endeavors.
