Obituary
Phyllis Grace Juve was the first born to Arvid and Elizabeth Juve on January 16th, 1938. She was raised in Margo along with her younger siblings June, Morris and Dwayne. After leaving the family home, she worked in the Kelvington bakery and then moved to Regina, where she worked for a brief time as a telephone operator. Phyllis married George Hubert Prince Junior on August 24, 1956.Shortly there after, she began working alongside him as a cook for their road building construction company. She often spoke of the inconveniences she had to overcome while cooking in a small Cookshack for many men. After their daughter Charlaine was born in 1960, Phyllis and George took her with them on the Hanson Lake construction project up north. Eventually, Phyllis stayed home to raise their children as the family grew to include their second child David and third child Valerie. Phyllis continued to work relentlessly taking care of her family & cooking for their hired men during the winter while construction equipment repair was done in the yard. Somehow, she fit everyone around the table in their first home, a one room shack. In 1964, she was so happy when they got their first new home with so much more room to be able to fully enjoy cooking, baking and preparing canned goods. She had a large garden and loved to grow beautiful flowers that always adored the yard. Following the passing of George when his plane crashed in 1972, Prince construction was phased out and Phyllis was left to carry-on. Her strength coming from her children and passions for gardening and cooking. Phyllis married Bill Sowa on December 1, 1973 and together they had a daughter Johanna. Life continued to be busy and that was just the way Phyllis liked it. When she wasn’t cooking, gardening or busy keeping her house & yard immaculate, she would be working on a needlepoint project for Jodi‘s Ukrainian dance costume. Throughout the years, Phyllis and Bill visited many places from across North America, the Caribbean & Europe. Some of these trips were for pleasure, other times business conventions for Wheatbelt Sales. She was the backbone to Bill, never wanting to be in the spotlight but always so proud of her husband's accomplishments. Bill and Phyllis enjoyed travelling south to Yuma and area the last several winters. However, where Phyllis liked to be most was in her house, for she loved just being at home and able to sit on her deck admiring her yard and listening to her beloved birds. She often spoke of her love for where she lived right here in little Kuroki. She loved the simple life. Having coffee on the deck with family & friends was her favourite and anybody who visited her home, felt instantly welcome and left very well fed! Later in life with more aches and pains from her arthritis, in which she never complained, Phyllis downsized her garden and flowers. Her new passion was crocheting and knitting as she made many afghans and tablecloths. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were always a part of her focus and she could never get enough of being around all of them. She strongly believed in teaching her family good, honest work ethic and She was most content when her children were happy with stable jobs. She loved her family unconditionally & sacrificed her whole life to care for them. Phyllis was predeceased by her children’s father George, her parents Arvid and Elizabeth and brother Dwayne. She leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her memory Her loving Husband Bill and 4 children Charlaine (John), David (Mary), Valerie (Don) and Johanna (Trevor) She is dearly remembered by her grandchildren Stephen (Brandi) Heidi and Ryan, Kendell (Brittany) Savannah and Alex, Kathleen (Ghislain) Isaac, Jamie (Elmarie) Noah and Emma and Lance. Also left to remember her fondly are Brother Morris Juve, Sister June Klewchuck, sister-in-laws Ruth Prince, Anna Prince, Vicki Juve, Bev Juve, Mary Woloshyn, Ann Fellinger, Noreen Sowa, and many Neices, Nephews and close friends.
