Funeral Service 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 6, 2017 Foam Lake United Church Foam Lake, Saskatchewan Claud Simpson was born on September 20, 1925, on the farm in the Briar Mound School district, he was the youngest of three children born to Fred and Suzanne Simpson. He attended the Briar Mound school from grade one until eight, at that time he left school to farm with his father. Claud married Clara Hrappsted on January 15, 1950, together, they raised four children; Terry, Correen, Sue, and Kevin. Claud lived and breathed the farm, his two sons joined him to continue to grow the Century farm which was established in 1902. He was a life member of the Foam Lake Elks, a life member of the Foam Lake Curling Club, enjoyed dancing, golfing, hunting, and picking stones. Claud leaves to cherish his memory; wife, Clara; daughter, Correen (Rob) Smith; daughter, Sue Simpson; son, Kevin (Launa) Simpson; grandchildren, Corralee Smith (Seamus), Bradley (Jennifer) Smith, Travis Simpson, Tanner Simpson, Kasey Simpson; great-grandchildren; Emily Smith & Owen Smith; sister-in-law, Ella Reynolds; family friend, Janice Tandie; numerous nieces, and nephews. Claud was predeceased by; son, Terry Simpson; siblings, Melvin & Maxine; as well as numerous brother, and sister-in-laws.
