Annie Skihar was born in the Pohorlowitz District on January 6, 1919, to John and Dokia Kuprowski. Annie married Matt Skihar on November 17, 1937. Together they raised a family of seven children. Annie enjoyed gardening, baking and always had an abundance of perogies for her grandchildren. She loved listening to Ukrainian music and loved to have challenging game of 3-spot. Annie was an active member of the Kuprowski Church. She was a loving, compassionate lady decoted to taking care of all the ones she loved. She was a hard worker and her memory was sharp to the end. She will be sadly missed by all who loved her. Left to celebrate her life and cherish her memory are her son Walter (Sheho), daughters Elenor (Walter) Kuhuch (Winnipeg, MB) Jeanette (Dave) Syrnyk (Dauphin, MB), Angeline (Terry) Leswick (Pilot Butte, SK), Carol (Brock) Nye (Lumsden, SK), sons- in-law Andy Shymkiw (Winnipeg, MB), Dale Harwood (Vernon, BC); twenty three grandchildren; twenty four grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; brother Alex (Sheho); sister Bella Kopan (Victoria, BC) and neumrous nieces and nephews. Annie was predeceased by her husband Matt (1987); mother Dokia (1958); father John (1957); daughters Phyllis (1948), Joanne (2009), Iris (2001); grandson Richard (1990); sisters Mary (1996), Pearl (2009); brothers George (1980), Steve (1974), Matt (1976),Pete (1965), Bill (1924); daughter-in-law Linda (2005) Annie will be deeply missed bye everyone who knew her. She will remain in our hearts forever Mrs. Annie Skihar, beloved wife of Matt Skihar passed away on November 10, 2012. Prayers for Mrs. Skihar will be held on Thursday 7:00 p.m. in the Sheho Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Funeral mass for Mrs. Skihar will be held Friday, November 16th, 2012 at the Sheho Ukrainian Orthodox at 10:00 a.m. Burial will take place at the Kuprowski Cememtery.
