Memorial Service 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 28, 2018 Sacred Heart Ukrainian Catholic Church Wynyard, Saskatchewan Memorial Donations in memory of Olga may be made to the Golden Acres Nursing Home Auxiliary, Wynyard, SK S0A 4T0 or to the Sacred Heart Ukrainian Catholic Church, Box 728 Wynyard, SK S0A 4T0 Olga was born on the farm in the Krasne District to the late Helen & Nick Kachur on July 17, 1939. She met Mike Danchuk when she was offered a ride home by Mike’s sister Margaret. They enjoyed one last dance before leaving for home and the rest is history. Olga and Mike married on June 3rd, 1959 at the Sacred Heart Church in Wynyard. They started a family and were blessed with six children and many Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and one Great-Great Grandchild:children, Glenda (Scot), Janice (Alan), Carol (Dan), Michael (Hélène), Terry (Kathy), and David (Jody); Grandchildren Amanda (David), Brooklynn, Kathryn, Robyn, Michael (Tanya), Nikki (Aaron), David (Alicia), Mishka, Brennah, Alexy, Nikolah, Eric, Bryson, and Jamie; Great-grandchildren Isla, Bennet, Gavin, Aizik, Kersten (Tristan), Dayton, and Ileigh, Abby and Great-Great Grandchild Claire. Olga is survived by: Auntie Jean MacKenzie Sisters: Arlene (Vic) and Denise (Ron) In-Laws: Terri Trautman, Chris Pylypuk, Margaret Hopkins, Betty Danchuk and Victor Malinowski Many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, Friends and Customers Olga is pre-deceased by: Her Parents: Helen and Nick Kachur Her Husband: Mike Danchuk Sister Elizabeth and Brother Alvin Parents-in-Law: Sophie and Nick Danchuk Sisters-in-Law: Olive, Irene, Lillian, Phyllis, and Beatrice Brothers-in-Law: Bill, Harold, Jim, Sandy and Howard Olga loved sewing, knitting, crocheting, baking, making perogies, cabbage rolls and bread, gardening, fishing, bowling, playing cards, the horse races, and spending time with friends and family. She appreciated the beauty of all kinds of flowers. She also held various jobs over the years as well as leadership positions with the CWL and the 4-H club. Mom shared her various talents with many people through the use of dough, rice, wool and potatoes by making perogies, cabbage rolls, bread, cookies, sweaters, blankets, toques, etc. The coffee pot was always on and the cookie jars were always full!! Funeral services will be held at 10AM on Saturday, July 28th, 2018 at Sacred Heart Ukrainian Catholic Church, Avenue B & 4th Street East, in Wynyard, Saskatchewan. Olga’s final resting place will be next to the love of her life, Mike, at the Sacred Heart Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery in Wynyard, Saskatchewan.
