Funeral Service: Wednesday, June 17, 2015 2:00 p.m. Narfason's & Peter's Funeral Chapel 203 5th Ave North Naicam, Saskatchewan Interment to follow at the Dovre Cemetery, Spalding District, Saskatchewan. With great sadness the family of Florence (Flo) McFarland announces her passing on June 12, 2015, in Watson, Saskatchewan, at the age of 95. Flo was born in Ashton-Under-Lyne, England on September 9, 1919 to James and Mary Edge. Flo served in World War II as a corporal. On July 11th, 1942 she married Archie McFarland in Valley End, country of Surrey in England. After the war, Flo along with their first born, Anne relocated to Spalding, Saskatchewan in 1944. She will be forever loved, and remembered by her children; daughter Anne (Larry "Lou") Hentges; Sons; Larry (Barb) McFarland, Dennis (Kay) McFarland, Allan (Mecolata) and Rodney (Joy) McFarland. She will be fondly remember by her 10 grandchildren, Rick (Teresa) Hentges, Debbie (Rodger) Lindsay, David (Ashley) Hentges, Randy (Sherry) McFarland, Garry (Tammi) McFarland, Grant (Raeanne) McFarland, Rhonda (Jason) McCutcheon, Sherry (David) Bressette, Chad (Rebeccah) McFarland, and Shannon McFarland. As well as her 19 great grandchildren; Nicole (Michael) Loyns, Richard, Sydney, Jonathan, Cassandra, Courtney, Sean, Avery, Bradley, Troy, Liam, Cailey, Conner, Keegan, Arissa, Austyn, Abby, Brayden, Lachlan. Florence was also blessed with two great- great granddaughters, 5th generation, Sophie and Ivy Loynns. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, and family member in England and abroad. Flo was predeceased by her husband Archie in February 1973, and most beloved grandson, Bobby in September of 1976. Special thanks to all the staff at Bethany Pioneer Village in Middle Lake where Flo resided for four years. A heartfelt thank you to the nurses and staff at the Quill Plains Centennial Lodge in Watson, SK, where she resided for the last year. Your kindness and care was much appreciated.
