Travis Aime Braaten was born on November 21, 1986 in Saskatoon, SK to Donna and Terry Braaten. He grew up on a farm two miles east of Archerwill. Travis attended Archerwill School from Kindergarden to Grade 9, and completed Grade 10-12 in Rose Valley School, graduating in 2005. He loved his life on the farm, that is where he would tell you he was the happiest. He played all sports and excelled in them, his favorites being ball and hockey. He loved watching his San Jose Sharks and Toronto Blue Jays. After completing high school, Travis started his career on the oil rigs. He worked on the rigs for the next 11 years. He enjoyed life and the friends he made. He was also very proud that he reached his goal of being a Driller. While he was home from work, in 2010, and at the Long Branch with his buddies, he met his future wife, Roc. On November 28, 2015, Travis married the love of his life Rocquelle Moyen, at St. Front Roman Catholic Church. A year after tying the knot, Travis was able to convince Roc to move back to the family farm. They both enjoyed sledding and quadding, and Travis loved that he was only a short drive away from his best friend, Reggie. He enjoyed riding to the lakes with Curtis to do some fishing or simply going for a short drive to visit his mom and dad and niece Cailen. Travis loved his community and was a proud member of the Archerwill Fire Department, and coach of the Novice Hockey Team. He did a lot of great things in his life, but he was best at being an uncle, he loved his nieces and nephew very much. Travis will always be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife Rocquelle; parents Terry & Donna; brother Tyrel and his daughter Cailen; Danielle (Jeff) and their children Hallie, Andi and Tessa; grandmother Phyllis Cooper; parents-in-law Cyndi & Guy Moyen; sisters-in-law Britanie (Sam Schnitker) and their son Jett, Kirsten (Myles) Trombley and their daughter Eve; Rocquelle’s grandparents Armand & Colette Moyen; numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and friends.
