Obituary
Joan Oleyarz, nee Eyre, of Wadena entered her eternal rest on February 11th, 2015 at the Wadena Hospital. Joan was born on June 25th, 1929 in Wadena. She grew up on a farm in the Paswegin district and went to school at Paswegin School. On October 4th, 1947, Joan married Joe Oleyarz at Fosston. Joe and Joan farmed together on a farm northwest of Wadena for 60 years. Joan took an active part in the farm especially at harvest time. She loved the outdoors and nature, especially flowers. Joan was an active member of the Paswegin Community Club and Saint Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Wadena. Her faith was very important to her and was evident as she volunteered with the delivery of meals and with offering her baking to people who were in need. Joan loved traveling, especially to BC to visit her mom, and with Joe on bus tours to various places. Joe and Joan enjoyed many outings on the pattern dancing circuit and also to polka festivals and fiddling events. Joan is survived by her husband Joe, her sister Kathy of California, USA, her brother in law Al Reed of Edmonton, AB and an Aunt Ruth Forrister of Saskatoon, SK. As well as nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Joan was predeceased by her parents Bill and Minnie Eyre, her sisters-in-law Jennie Hudy and Stella Reed, and her brother-in-law Joe Hudy.
