Elsie Hawreluik, beloved wife of the late William Hawreluik, passed away peacefully at the Theodore Health Centre on March 9th, 2014, at the age of 89 years. Else was born on March 21st, 1924 on the family farm in the Sheho District, to John and Aksania (Maximuik) Rudey. She recieved her education at Krasney School. Later, completing her grade 12 in Sheho. She was united in marriage to William Hawreluik on January 27th, 1945. This union was blessed with three children: Eugene, Marlene, and Shirley. Elsie enjoyed making crafts. Always looking for a new challenge to keep her busy. She excelled at making wedding cakes, bouquets and corsages. Elsie spent many evenings teaching others her talents. Her love for bingo, occupied many enjoyable evenings. Else loved to sew, making many outfits for her daughters and grandchildren. Her family was dear to her heart. She cherished the moments that she spent with him. Her greatest joy came from watching her grandchildren grow up. She was predeceased by her husband, William 68 years. Son, Eugene; daughter-in-law Joyce; great grandson, William Cole. Parents: John and Aksania; siblings: Mary, Bill, Matt, Bella, Steve, and Adella. Elsie is survived by daughters: Marlene (Doug), and Shirley (Dennis). Grandchildren: Kelvin (Shauna), Clayton, Kelly, Kirk (Marcie), Karla (Keith), Kristie, Kurt, Tara (Derek), Shawn (Nicole). Great grandchildren: Kierra, Tatum, Tanner, Drayden, Kalen, Hannah, Kaynan, Kyson, Ethan, Taylor, Hollin, and Reid. Sister: Verna (Gordon); sisters-in-law: Katie, Elsie & Esther. Brother-in-law Roy, and numerous nieces and nephews. Eternal Memory!
