Funeral for the late Walter Hoffman was held on Saturday, Feb.9 at 10:00 A.M at the Sheho Ukrainian Catholic Church. Internment to follow in the Sheho Roman Catholic Cemetery. Donations in Walter's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice. Walter passed away peacefully at the Theodore Health Center on February 5, 2013 at the age of 88 years. Walter was born April 22, 1924 to John and Minnie Hoffman in Plummer, Minnesota. When he was two years old the family moved to Sheho and took up the job of farming. On April 18, 1947 Walter married Christina Bisschop in Foam Lake. They were blessed with ten children. Walter farmed until 1968 and then went to work for the Canadian Pacific Railway for 21 years until he retired in 1989 at 65 years. Walter enjoyed visits with the family, especially his grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. He enjoyed going for drives, fishing and going to bingo with Chris. Walter had a heart attack in 2002 and moved to the Theodore Health Center and has been resident there since. Walter leave to mourn his passing his children: Kenny (Arlene), Barbra, Linda, Bruce (Julia), Carl (Karen), Terry (Carolyn), Harvey and son in law Krik Summach, his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Minnie Hoffman; his wife of sixty one years Christina; his sons Dennis, Larry and his wife Debbie, his daughter Connie and grandson Gary Orton. He was also predeceased by his brothers Anthony, George, Frank, Fred, Henery, Joe, Pail and Michael and sisters Theresa, Rose, Marie, Francis, Sophie, Susie, Pauline and Elnora. He is survived by his sister Clara Homes and neumerous nieces and nephews.
