Annie was born to John H. and Parascevia (Wasylynka) Bzdel on April 24, 1921, the third child of 12. Annie attended Rushville School and when she finished school she went to work as a housekeeper of Nicolas Syrota in the Holar District. She came back for awhole and helped out on the farm. She then ventured off to the big town of Wynyard, and found work at the Wynyard Hotel. She then for 26 years, retiring in 1983. She bought heself a house in 1962. In 1967 her parents moved in with her and she cared for them until their passing. Annie remained at home, along with her sister Stella, until she was admitted to hospital and then Golden Acres a few months ago. While in Golden Acres she fell and broke her hip where she was again admitted to hospital until her passing. Annie enjoyed knitting in her spare time, making many pairs of mittens. Annie also belonged to the UCWL for over 30 years. Annie was predeceased by her father John H. Bzdel (Aug. 11, 1978); mother Parascevia (Wasylynka) Bzdel (April 6, 1986); sisters- Katherine Bergquist (May 5, 1987); Minnie Chymycz (May 24, 1995); Mary Bergquist (Sept. 1, 1998); Eva Thomas (Mar. 23, 2001); brothers- William Bzdel (Oct. 27, 2000); Steve Bzdel (Mar. 21, 2003); and Harry Bzdel (June 28, 2011); brother-in-laws- John Bergquist, Nick Chymycz, Robert Bergquist, and Joe Thomas. Left to mourn her passing are: sisters- Stella Bzdel and Martha Skopyk (Donald); brothers- Raymond (Loretta) and Peter (Gayl); also numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Funeral Mass for the Late Annie Bzdel was held on Thursday December 27,2012 at 10:00 A.M at the Wynyard Ukrainian Catholic Church.
