Funeral Service Tuesday, October 20, 2015 10:30 a.m. Wadena Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Wadena, Saskatchewan. Interment to follow at the Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery, Fosston, Saskatchewan. Donation's in memory of Sophia may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Sophie Margaret Liss was born on October 9, 1945 to Myrtle and Mike Liss at Rose Valley, Saskatchewan. Sophia passed away suddenly on October 11, 2015. Sophie took all her Elementary schooling at New Gate and Brad Gate; her High School at Rose Valley and Archerwill. After completing High School, she attended the University of Saskatchewan, completing her Education Degree. She taught at various schools in Saskatchewan. Most recently, she used her knowledge and skills to complete income tax returns for many people. Sophie leaves to mourn her passing: her sister, Mary (Edward) Herbst and their son Dwayne; her brother, Mike (Linda) Liss and their children Katerina, Michael, and Steven; her sister-in-law, Marie Liss; her children, Bonnie (Brad) Boechler, their children Kayla and Tyler; Shelley (Dennis) Schlactel, their children, Shauna and Benjamin; Brenda Thibault (her friend); Ashley and children Katlyn, and Kylie. Sophie was predeceased by her parents, Mike and Myrtle; brother, Alex; sister, Pauline.
