Oran Fenton started out life on February 17, 1927 in Nokomis, Saskatchewan. He was Wallace and Hazels youngest of the 8 children. They homesteaded in the Boulder Lake District. Eventually Oran and his brother John built a house in Nokomis for Hazel as Wallace had passed away in 1956. Hazel lived the rest of her life in Nokomis till her passing in 1994. Oran met his future wife, Yvonne Josephson, in Wynyard and they married on August 19, 1956. Oran and Yvonne then moved to Hendon where they farmed, worked at the Credit Union and Oran was a CPR Agent. Everyone in Hendon was like family and Hendon was always considered home to this day. They eventually moved to Wynyard where the family lived in the CPR Station while Oran was an operator. Then in 1975 a house was built in Wynyard, and Oran continued to work at CPR till his retirement in 1987. Oran was predeceased by his parents Wallace and Hazel Fenton, his brothers Kenneth (Jesse), Doug (Chris), John, and sisters Helen (Carl), Elaine (Clyde), Lois (Marv), and Pat (Art). Granddaughter Chantaey and his grandson Preston. Father/Mother-in-law Arthur and Clara Josephson, in-laws Ed and Nona Longstaff, and Norman Arngrimson. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 62 years, Yvonne. His children and their families: Jerry Fenton – Jed, Malynn (Jim) Syra, Randy Fenton (Carol) – Erin (Mike) Avery, Kevin (Christina) Kiona, Aiden, Erica, Caleb and Loki, Cindy Uhrich (Keith) – Colin (Tara) Brielle, Jill (Jesse) Kaylee, Janice Bashutski (Allen) – Cory (Tristine) Brett, Carla Katchmar (Lionel) – Justin (Wray) Sahlyia and Remmington, Ashlyn (Donovan), Kailyn, Jaedin. As well as numerous nieces and nephews and their families. Also, sister-in-law’s Kathy Fenton and Irene Arngrimson. We love you and will miss you dad - love your wife, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and his little dog Joey.
