Obituary
It is with great sorrow, the family announces the passing of Kay Chayko on July 3, 2020. Kay was born on October 27, 1935 to John and Lena Essar. She attended Krasne School. At a young age she left home and began her life in the work force. On September 27, 1956 she married Frank Chayko and there in Foam Lake, they worked and raised their family. It was on July 1, 1958, she began her career at the Foam Lake Union Hospital and worked there until she retired after 35 years of service. During these years she raised her family, always grew a big garden, made time for her hobbies which consisted of knitting, crocheting, cross-stitching, sewing, and perogy making. She enjoyed doing all of these things. When Frank passed away in 2018, her health started to decline but she persevered and was able to continue living in her home unit her passing. Rest in Peace Mom. Вічная Пам'ять- Vichnaya Pamyat Kay will be greatly missed by her children: daughter, Barb (Peter) Hutzul and children Shawn (Kim) Hutzul and family, Taylor, Adison and Kaylee, and Roland (Lina) Hutzul and family, Yarina, and Taras; son, Gerry (Peggy) Chayko and children Kyle (Melissa) Chayko and daughter Charlotte, and Janessa (Cody) Claypool and family, Dalan, Aralyn, and Brielle; daughter, Donna (Alan) Brule and children Heather Brule, Stephanie (Emile) Blanchard and family Kaylie, Baptiste, Destiny, and Cassidy, and Donovan Brule; and son, Lyle Chayko. She is also survived by: her sister, Jean Essar; brothers, Paul, Lawrence, and Morris Essar; sisters-in-law, Shirley Essar, Marilyn Essar, and Marianne Essar; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. There will be a Private Family Funeral Service. Due to COVID-19 restrictions Memorial donations in memory of Kay may be made to Foam Lake Xray Fund or to Foam Lake Jubilee Nursing Home
