Memorial donations in memory of Vera may be made to the Alzheimer's Society or to a charity of choice. Vera was born on April 6, 1939, in Wadena, Saskatchewan to Jack and Elizabeth Sunshine. She married Metro Lysyshin on November 8, 1961. Together they farmed ten miles north west of Hendon for 35 years. Raising four children before moving to Brown Vale, Alberta and later to Slave Lake, Alberta. Vera enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking. Reading her bible; knitting and crocheting; playing cards with neighbors, curling; but most of all spending time with her family and friends, near and far Vera will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her 2 daughters and 2 sons: Brenda Lysyshin (Tony Nakrayko) and son Jared; Brian Lysyshin and family Shantel (Reagan Nordmarken) and children Treyton, Jordan, and Savannah; Mervin Lysyshin and daughters Karly, Amanda, and Holly; and Lorraine (Sheldon) Rubisch and children Tye, Brandon, and Taylor. She is also survived by 3 sisters and 3 brothers: Marion Sunshine, Ralph (Olive) Sunshine, Shirley (Lawrence) Lemieux, Mervin Sunshine, Glen Sunshine, and Bernice Sunshine (Sam Francis). She is predeceased by her husband Metro Lysyshin; her father Jack, her mother Elizabeth; 2 brothers: Harold, and Steve Sunshine; and sister Darlene Cyr.
