Ed was born June 03,1936 at Wynyard, the first child to Nettie (Lalach) and Mathew Katuski. He attended Evelyn School, which was just down the road, four miles away. Ed left school at an early age to work, not only on the family farm, but also on neighboring farms. Looking for bigger pay and adventure, he left the farm life to begin working at the Gardiner Dam construction project near Outlook, operating heavy equipment. While working there he met Rachel Darlene Fredeen, was married on June 03, 1961, and started a family having two children Jeffrey and Wanda. When the Gardiner Dam was completed Ed and family packed up and moved to British Columbia, where he began working in the forest industry, mostly in the Prince George area. Ed had a great passion for airplanes and flying, obtaining his pilots licence in the mid 1970s, and would always love to thrill any willing family or friends with an exciting ride. Ed became a self taught mechanic, keeping his vehicles running or fabricating something to prolong their use. Ed remained living in BC. until returning back to Saskatchewan with his best dog friend, Fraser. Ed was predeceased by his parents, Nettie and Mathew, and brother Raymond. Ed is survived by Rachel Darlene Levy, son Jeffrey (Laurie) Katuski, Prince George BC., daughter Wanda McLean, Mission BC.
