Obituary
A Memorial Service for Bob will be held at a later date. With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Robert Gerald LeGoffe at St.Paul's Hospital on January 4th, 2020. Bob was born on June 16,1941 in Blaine Lake, SK to Ernest and Frances LeGoffe. While growing up in Blaine Lake, he developed a love for sports. His education included Registered Psych Nurse which he spent 20 years practicing in North Battleford, Weyburn and Medicine Hat followed by Health Care Administration in Kerrobert, Dodsland and Rosetown. He then became CEO of the Wheatland Regional Centre in Rosetown followed by Executive Director of SARC and SARCAN which he found the most fulfilling. He developed many friendships through his years of work and through sports. Sports was a vital part of Bob's life and he participated in baseball, track & field, hockey, curling, golfing, fishing and fastball where he excelled as a pitcher for many years. He spent many volunteer hours coaching numerous sports teams. He passed on his love of sports and competitive nature to his children and grandchildren and became their biggest fans. In recent years his favorite place to be was watching his grandson Daniel play hockey and their bond was strong. He leaves to mourn his wife of 52 years Helen, his children Jackie (Rick) Wapple, Michael (Aimee) LeGoffe, Nicole (Curtis) Veale, Rob (Cherise) Cave, his grandchildren Daniel, Hanna, Andrew, Maia, Everett, Livia, Ryan, Evan and Anthony, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Ernest and Frances LeGoffe, in-laws Matt and Mary Panasiuk, and sister Marguerite Purficati. Dad thank you for your love, patience and guidance. You will be loved and in our hearts forever. It was Bob's request that there will be no funeral at this time but a memorial service at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St.Paul's Foundation for the excellent care of dad received over the past few years or the Kuroki Ukrainian Catholic Perpetual Cemetery fund. Our family would like to thank everyone for all of your love and support during this difficult time.
