Bev was born in Wynyard, Saskatchewan on January 31st, 1961 to Helen and Joe Madey. She grew up on the family farm with four loving sisters and one brother. She was very close with all her family. Bev attended elementary and high school in Wynyard. After her high school graduation Bev obtained her Certified Nursing Diploma from Kelsey Institute in Saskatoon. Bev married Greg Kostyk on October 9, 1982. They had two children; Molly, born July 5, 1991 and Luke, born June 5, 1996. Bev worked at the Wynyard Union Hospital for 33 years and planned to retire in December of this year. She passed away suddenly on April 29th, 2014. Bev was a very dedicated and involved parent with her children's many activities and pursuits. She attended as many dance performances, syncronized swimming events, track meets, hockey, football, soccer, and baseball games as she possibly could. She took great pride in the fact that both her children were certified life guards. She was also relentless about her children furthering their post-secondary education. Predeceased by her mother and father, Helen and Joe Madey, and her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Emily and Steve Kostyk, Bev leaves to mourn her husband Greg and her children Molly and Luke. Also mourning her loss are siblings: Marlene (Fred) Benoit - children Michael (Sharla) and Ryan (Jodi); Janice (Brad) Hoover - children Sarah and Tyson; Bernice (Brian) Buffin- children Rachelle and Cory; David (Dianne) Madey - children Renee and Jillian; Audrey Madey. Also mourning her loss are in-laws: Larry (Rilla) Kostyk; Dave Kostyk - children Leigha, Tara (Kevin), Allison (Jody), Lindsay, Landon (Amanda); Judy Burko - children Jaclyn (Keith) and David; Karen (Al) MacPherson - children Krista (Devin) and Rob (Joanne); Harvey (Dianne) Kostyk - children Josh and Blake; and Becky Kostyk
