Orest was born April 18, 1934 on a farm in the Harvard District. He was the eldest of four children of Nick and Annie Bodnar. Orest met Roseland (Audrey) Katuski and they were married on June 29, 1963. They were blessed with three children; Timothy, Donna and Tracy. His working career consisted of many years on the family farm alongside his Dad and brother as well as working on the oil patch and at the Wynyard Liquor Board Store. In 1963, after his marriage to Audrey, they purchased farmland from the CPR an worked extremely hard to establish this as their home quarter. Orest was involved in many community organizations such as the Kinsmen, Knights of Columbus as well as being an active member on the school board. Orest loved farming as well as raising livestock, curling, bowling, fishing, snowmobiling, playing bingo and three spot and visiting with family, friends and neighbors. He loved his grandchildren with all his heart, although they arrived in their later years, he enjoyed spending time with them. Orest was predeceased by his father Nick (1986), mother Annie (2005) and brother Wally (1989). He is survived by his wife Audrey, sisters Leona (Jerry Hudy)of Melville, and Patricia (Barry Slowski) of Saskatoon, and his children Tim (Shawna Duda) and children Hayley, Abigayl and Emylie; Donna (Robert Panchuk) and children Dalton and Triston; and Tracy (Greg Magnusson) and children Jazlyn and Zachary; along with many more relatives.
