He was the first of four children, and grew up on the family farm just North of Mozart. Edwin attended school in Mozart. Edwin began his Truck driving career at Crawfords Foods in Wynyard, Saskatchewan. On July 15, 1960 Edwin married Margaret Davies of Spalding, Saskatchewan, together they had four children Betty, Richard, John, and Tom. Edwin and Margaret then moved to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan where Edwin worked for CP Transport, then changed companies and worked for Kindersley Transport. After suffering a back injury Edwin moved back to Mozart to work on the family farm. Edwin farmed with his brothers Evans and Robert until he retired from farming in 2004. Edwin stayed around Mozart and could always be counted on by family and neighbours to help them out in the field whenever they asked him to. Edwin also had a love of horses, one of Edwins favorite photos is himself wearing his white cowboy hat and riding his niece Kristines horse during a wagon trek. Edwin is survived by his children Betty Anne Ramsay of Calgary and her children Serena, Nicholas, Skylar, David, Maxi, Frankie and Johnny; Richard of Wynyard and his daughter Kaitlin; John (Mel) of Wynyard and his daughter Shantel; Tom (Sandy) of Deer Lake, Newfoundland and their children Alex and Stephanie. He also leaves to mourn his great grandchildren Joseph, Vincent and Lily; his Sister Mary (Roland) Lacost of Calgary; His Brother Robert (Carey) Thordarson of Mozart and nieces and nephews. Edwin was predeceased by his Parents Edwin (1973) and Evelyn (1994) Thordarson, and his brother Evans (2004) Thordarson.
