Donations in memory of Alfred may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Alfred Charles Radom passed away at the Yorkton Union Hospital on February 12, 2019 at the age of 89. Alfred was predeceased by his wife Alice in March of 2010 after 58 years of marriage. Alfred was born to Paul and Alice Radom on August 8, 1929 in the Indian Head area of Saskatchewan. Farming was their way of life and along with his two brothers and one sister, moved to Foam Lake area to also take up farming. Alfred left school early in life to help on the farm and did so until his marriage to Alice Mawer in 1952. After marrying the love of his life, Alfred and Alice took up farming their own 1/2 section of land close to his parent's farm. Times were tough, and in 1959 they decided to rent out their land and along with their children, Dale and Fraser move to Moose Jaw where he had secured a job with the city. While in Moose Jaw they had a third child, Donna, and lived there until 1969 when Alfred and family moved back to Foam Lake to once again take up farming. After a short lived stint at farming, Alfred sold the farm and worked at various jobs in the surrounding area until 1980 when, along with Alice, Dale and Donna, moved to Nipawin where he once again worked at various jobs. In 1990, they moved to their present home in Yorkton where he again worked at various caretaking jobs with his last one being at The Bay. After retirement, Alfred just relaxed and took life easy, enjoying camping, gardening, while he still could or sometimes doing things he shouldn't like trimming branches while standing on the top of the ladder in his early eighties. In his later years, he became an avid Blue Jays fan, never missing a game. In the last couple of years, he even started watching the Rider games as well as the Winnipeg Jets, something he never used to do. Alfred was predeceased by his parents, Paul and Alice of Powell River, B.C in 1972, his wife Alice in 2010, brother Robert in 1966, sister Isabel in 1988 and infant daughter in 1956. He leaves to cherish his memory: sons, Dale and Fraser, daughter-in-law, Laurie, daughter Donna, grandson Travis, his brother Norman: grandchildren, Scott and Amanda, great-grandchildren Kemp and Olivia of Warmen. Amy Radom and Dave of Regina, Stacy and Eric Tuttosi of Saskatoon and numerous nieces and nephews of Moose Jaw.
