Prayer Service Tuesday, June 2, 2014 7:00 p.m. Narfason's Funeral Chapel Wadena, Saskatchewan Funeral Service Wednesday, June 3, 2015 1:00 p.m. Quill Lake Community Legion Hall Quill Lake Saskatchewan Fredrick "Fred" Pawluk Jr. was born on October 16, 1946 in Rose Valley. He was the middle of three children born to Fred Sr. and Elvene Pawluk. He attended school at Hunter's Hill, Clair, and Quill Lake. He left school to help out with the family farm. When he was 17 he went to work in the oil fieldS. He did this for several years. In 1968 he married Marlene Parr. Fred continued to work very hard on the farm as well as the rigs, construction and logging. Fred and Marlene raised 5 children together: Travis (Pam) Pawluk, Kaitlyn and Brett; Laurel (Rob) Myers, Carter; Jason (Clarice) Pawluk, Miguel and Jax; Tanya (Dwight) Odelein, Sabrina and Sydney; Heidi (Jason) Evans, Isabella and Molly. Fred was passionate about his farm and his black cows. His love for his grandchildren was never ending. Gido spent many hours with them: hunting, fishing, and attending their activities. He enjoyed visiting and was always eager to joke with his many friends. Fred's courageous battle with cancer came to an end when he passed away in the Humboldt Hospital on Thursday, May 28th. Fred greatly appreciated everyone who took the time to visit him. He was predeceased by his father and mother, Fred Sr. and Elvene; sister, Linda Kidney; brothers-in-law, Steve Washuta and Glen Kidney; grandson, Blake Evans. He leaves to mourn his children; grandchildren; sister, Sonia Washuta; nieces, Lorie Washuta and Kristen Buydens; nephews, Rick (Gayle) Washuta and Warren (Joyce) Kidney.
