Prayer Service Monday, July 13, 2015 7:00 p.m. Christ The King Roman Catholic Church Rose Valley, Saskatchewan Funeral Service Tuesday, July 14, 2015 11:00 a.m. Christ The King Roman Catholic Church Rose Valley, Saskatchewan Ernest Donald Paulson passed away peacefully on July 9, 2015, in the Tisdale Hospital, surrounded by his immediate family. Ernie was the 5th child of Adolph and Alice Paulson of Rose Valley, SK. He was born August 9, 1941 in Rose Valley and he grew up on the family farm. Ernie attended the Rose Valley School until his dad got sick and passed away. He then left school to help out on the family farm where he finally took over the farming operations. In the early years Ernie worked off the farm in the winters logging and trucking to help out the farm. In 1974 he married Elsie. They had 2 children Michele and David, along with Elsie 2 children Carey and Dwayne. He was a loving father who was always there to help out with anything that was needed to be done. He enjoyed his yearly fishing trips with Elsie along with family and friends. As well he was an avid hunter who went many years with his boys, as well as family and friends to Hudson Bay hunting moose. Many memories were made and will be cherished forever. Ernie is survived by his beloved wife, Elsie, his children David Paulson (Tanya Boey), Michele Paulson (Mike Ronberg), Dwayne Heimlick (Patti Wicijowski), Carey Heimlick (Kristin Osmond), Grandchildren; Lucas, Amber, Sasha, Raelynn, Whyatt, Colby, Alexandra, Cali, Jordan, Derrick and Great Grandchildren; Carter and Krystyn, sister; Agnes (Selmer Njaa -Hagen, SK), Brothers; Edwin (Agnes- Langenberg, SK), Gordon (Lana- Hudson Bay, SK), Vernon (Rose Valley, SK), As well as many Nieces and Nephews and their families and numerous extended family. Ernie is predeceased by his father, Adolph and mother, Alice, Uncle Melvin and Aunt Ella Paulson; brother Clarence and sister in-laws' Ellenor (Clarence), Debbie (Vern). Wherever Ernie went, he always enjoyed meeting people and creating meaningful friendships. Part of those friendships came from Rose Valley Kinsmen Club and Rose Valley Mallard Wildlife Club. In his free time, he loved fishing, hunting, and talking with his friends and family. Ernie will always be remembered for his hardworking and fun-loving character. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Kinsmen Telemiracle in Ernies memory.
