Obituary
Marion Jean Dunlop (nee Carson) was born on a farm south of Disley,?Saskatchewan on April 25, 1917 to Joseph and Helen Carson. She was the 4th child in a family of six. She took her schooling in country schools and finished her grade 8 in Bethune, Sask. where her father worked for the town. On October 21, 1936, she married John Renton Dunlop who had been employed at the Royal Bank in Bethune. Later they moved to Foam Lake to the family farm to begin their life together. They were blessed with three sons, John, Bob and Dave. They continued to farm until 1961. They built a home in Foam Lake and moved there in 1966, where Marion continued to live until 2009. She then moved into the Foam Lake Jubilee Care Home, where she resided until the time of her death. Marion was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Helen Carson, husband Rent (1981), brothers Gordon (Martha), Cecil (Eva), Gillis (Irene) and Vern (Irene); brothers-in-law Harvey Campbell, Bill Dunlop and sister-in-law Gudrun Dunlop; grandson Dean Dunlop, daughter-in-law Desa Dunlop; nephews Norman Carson, Donny Carson and Ken Carson. Marion leaves to celebrate her life and rejoice in her memory: sons John and Alice of Yorkton, Bob and Nat of Foam Lake, and Dave and Gail of Weldon; her nine grandchildren, twenty four great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren and sister Gladys (Ken)?Davis of Regina, Sask. Also celebrating Auntie Marions life are her numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service for Marion will be held on Monday, February 11th at 2:00 P.M at the Foam Lake United Church, Foam Lake, Sask. Internment to follow in the Foam Lake Cemetery. Those wishing to make memorial donations may do so in Marion's memory to a charity of one's choice.
