Obituary
Minnie Dorothy Unger (Sanders), age 90, of Wynyard, Saskatchewan passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on Friday, March 20, 2015 at Pleasant View Care Home, Wadena, Saskatchewan. Minnie was born on August 21, 1924 to Gunni & Asta Sanders. She attended Big Quill School where she received her Grade 8 education. On June 12, 1949, she married Albert Unger. They were blessed with two children - Glenn (1951) and Carol (1955). Minnie resided with her husband, Albert, at SE29-31-17 W2 until they retired from farming in 1982. They moved to Wynyard which is when Minnie decided to go to school in Foam Lake, Saskatchewan to become a Home Care Aide. She retired from Home Care at the age of 65. Minnie loved to knit and would make scarves, sweaters and baby blankets for family and friends. She was an avid curler and the organist for Aarnes Lutheran Church, south of Kandahar, Saskatchewan, for many years. Minnie enjoyed spending most of her time checking in with family to see what everyone was doing. Family get together's at Albert & Minnie's home in Wynyard were always special because there was always fun and laughter. Minnie is predeceased by her husband Albert; parents Gunni & Asta Sanders; brothers - Willie Sanders, Svein Sanders, Harold Sanders and sister Margaret Pohorelic and grandson Brandon Unger. Minnie leaves to mourn her son Glenn Unger (Colleen Reiger); daughter Carol Morton (Willi Wedemeyer); Grandchildren Tara (Dean) Jors, Tracy (Mark) Wall, Trina (Jason) Gabriel; Ryan (Jodie) Morton; Kyla Morton (Tyler Hordos) and Devin Unger; Great Grandchildren Jasmine Unger; Brandon and Breanna Wall, Kaydence and Tayden Gabriel, Jaxon, Jorja and Jetlyn Morton and many nieces and nephews. We all love you and will miss you dearly.
