Dennis Charles Moroz PRAYERS 7:00 pm Thusday March 24, 2016 Narfason's Funeral Chapel, FOAM LAKE, SK MEMORIAL SERVICE 10:00 am Friday March 25, 2015 Insinger HIGHWAY Ukrainian Orthodox Church Interment to follow in the Lysenko Cemetery, Insinger District Donations may be made to the Saskatchewan Diabetes Association _____________________________________________________________ On March 13, 2016 Dennis passed away peacefully, at home at the age of 66 and is now resting with the Lord. Dennis was the 3rd of four children born to Steve and Annie Moroz of Insinger, Saskatchewan. Dennis was always an entrepreneur at heart from his childhood to his passing. One of his first projects, at the ripe age of 3 or 4, was building with wooden building blocks that he had received as a Christmas present. As a growing child he was always on his knees farming around the perimeter of the house on the farm. The plow was a tablespoon snuck from the kitchen and the tractor was himself making tractor noises. He grew a pretty decent crop of wheat and oats. Dennis went on to a few very short stints of working in the city but his heart was on the farm and that is where he spent the majority of his life. Dennis grain farmed, dairy farmed and then moved on to a manure spreading business that he operated for many years with a long time school mate and friend, Larry Husulak. Dennis was also a self-taught mechanic, electrician, general contractor and a man of all trades. He was always helping others from his youth back in the farming days to the days of his passing. He never said no to anyone who asked for his help in any manner. Dennis spent his last working years doing heavy duty mechanics and providing provincial truck certification in Foam Lake and went into a retirement mode when the shop he worked out of was sold. Dennis possessed a photographic memory and as many can testify, he could recall and rattle of reams of data, information and statistics, be it vehicle parts to history and jokes (in English and Ukrainian) where most couldn’t give that much information with computer researching. AND, Dennis loved to talk and tell jokes, doing so none stop for hours if he was allowed! Over the years Dennis did experience health setbacks and he passed away with complications from Type2 diabetes. Dennis’s greatest love was his family and friends and particularly his grandchildren. He was the baby sitter of choice by Brooke, Tristin, Tanner and Zaynn. Dennis was also a dedicated son, being the biggest support to our parents over many years. Dennis was a dedicated member of both the Ukrainian Orthodox churches of Insinger hiway and Lysenko/Lawrie helping to maintain the properties and help with the restoration of Lysenko/Lawrie. He also helped out with maintenance at the Stadnyk church by Sheho where mom’s side of the family are buried. Dennis was predeceased by his father, Steve Moroz in 1992 and mother, Annie Moroz in 2006. He is survived by his siblings Kenneth (Elaine) Moroz of Mundare, Alberta; Sharon (Rob) Stek of Calgary, Alberta and Joyce (Jerry) Woluschuk of Edmonton, Alberta; 6 step children – Doreen, Murray, Marie, Darlene, Rosella and Randall plus numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dennis will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all who knew him and whose lives he touched by his total unselfishness and great heart and kindness. His motto was to treat everyone respectfully and he expected the same back. The Moroz family extend our greatest love and appreciation to Randall and Melissa Tkachyk and their children Brooke, Tristin, Tanner and Zaynn for their faithful love and support of Dennis and all the assistance that they provided to him over the years and particularly in the past few years with his extenuating health issues. Truly family and a blessing to our family. Prayers -7pm March 24, 2016 at Narfason’s Funeral Chapel, Foam Lake, Saskatchewan. Refreshments to follow at the Foam Lake Royal Canadian Legion Branch #16 located just a few doors from the Chapel. Service – 10 am March 25, 2016 at the Ukrainian Orthodox church, Insinger hiway followed by internment at the Lysenko/Lawrie cemetery. Lunch and fellowship to follow at the Insinger hiway church hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dennis’s name to the Lysenko/Lawrie church or to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
