Obituary
Anne Maximovich was born on May 10, 1922 to Mack and Nettie Green south of Elfros in the Holar area. She attended Lily White School. After completing Grade 8 she helped her parents on the farm. She spent a brief time working at High Prairie, Alberta with a friend. On November 12, 1944 she married Walter Maximovich. They began farming in the Haglof area. In 1951 a daughter Nataline was born to them. In 1956 they bought a rooming house in Wynyard and moved to town. In 1964 they moved to their own home. They continued to “suitcase farm” between Wynyard and Haglof for the next 30 years. During the years Mom loved to garden and see things grow. She had a large garden plentiful with vegetables, raspberries, strawberries and flowers. At one point she had an acre of raspberries that kept everyone busy. In town the yard had an abundance of colourful flowers. The Pink Cascade petunias bordered the yard for many years. They found time to go to different lakes camping and fishing until they found a placed they liked a lot which was Greenwater Lake where they bought a cabin. Many days were spent there. Once again there was a small garden and more flowers. Mom found time to do a lot of knitting and crocheting. Always looking for a challenging pattern. Mom became a member of the Wynyard United Church where she was custodian for 26 years. She was a member of the choir and belonged to the Sunshine Ladies. These were enjoyable times for her. Mom loved music, she took piano lessons in her late fifties. Always looking for a challenge. Time with family and friends were most enjoyable. There was always lots of goodies and a lunch was a full meal. She loved her grandsons and great grand daughters and liked to make sure they were entertained and got many treats. As Mom's health failed she moved to Evergreen Country Home in Leroy in 2006. In 2009 she moved to Lorriane's Care Home in Saskatoon. In 2011 she moved to Wan-Dor Inn Care Home in Foam Lake and then to Jubilee Home in 2012 where she resided until her passing on July 3, 2016. She enjoyed her time in Foam Lake making friends, renewing friendships and participating in activities. She was predeceased by her mother in 1948, father in 1988, step mother Mary in 1972, husband Walter in 1986, brother Frank in 1987 and grandson Greg in 2009. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Nataline and husband Randy Belak. Grandson Bryan and wife Janice and great grand daughters Kenzie and Jade. Sister in law Sophie Kerluke, special cousin Lorna Beallie and many cousins, nephews, nieces and friends. A caring heart and busy hands are now at rest. Graveside Service: 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 7, 2016 Haglof Cemetery Mozart District, Saskatchewan
