Born Sept 1, 1947, Larry was the eighth of nine children. He was a robust child, spending his time in adventures around McKague, Sk. As McKague's goalie, He loved to beat the Sylvania team. At 15 Kidney disease took over Larry's life, stealing 9 years. However, thanks to innovative surgery, Larry lived and went on to make up for lost time with family and friends. He travelled the world, and bought himself a cabin at Paint Lake, MB, where he had the solitude he desired. Larry was a Historical War buff. His favorite wars were the American Civil War, WW1 and WW2. Larry had over 1000 books and would re-read his favorites. Larry worked for the School District of Mystery Lake for over 41 years. His last years were spent well cared for in the Golden Acres home in Wynyard Sk. At the time of his passing, he was the longest living Kidney Transplant survivor in Canada. Larry was predeceased by his Parents, Percy and Violet Bray, Sister and Brother in Law Audrey, and Jack Hemsley, Brother in Law Maurice Jacobs, Brother Calvin, and Sister-in-law Bonnie. While Larry did not have a family of his own, his death impacts us deeply. He leaves to mourn his siblings Donna (John) Zarowny, Sandra Johnson, Jean (Mark) Turnbull, Dallas (Doreen) Bray, Marion (Ray) Oberg, Gerry Jacobs and all of his nieces and nephews.
