Obituary
Clara Foster passed away on September 1, 2012. Memorial Service was held on Sept 11th at 2:00 p.m. in the Wynyard Anglican Church. Inurnment to follow in the Pleasantview Cemetary, Wynyard, SK. Clara Vera Theresa Foster was born in Goodeve, SK on November 12,1914 to Anton and Eleanor Leniczek (nee Dupuis). She was the secondeldest of seven children. Clara married George Grey Foster on August 5, 1940 in Ituna, SK. Theylived in Dafoe, SK raising their two daughters, Donna and Carol, while George ran the Searle Grain Elevator. After the death of her husband in 1964, Clara moved to Wynyard and resided in the basement suite at George & Daisy Webbs. She worked for Della Miller in the canteen at the Vogue Theatre and then spent 15 years working with the Pedersen family at the Wynyard Pharmacy. In 1967 Claras mother (Eleanor) returned to Saskatchewan to live with her. They were one of the first tenants in Maple Grove. Clara was an active member of the Rebekah Lodge and the Golden Acres Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Anglican Ladies Aid and did books for the church for several years. She enjoyed making drop-in visits for seniors who were often younger than herself. Clara was an avid bird-watcher, loved to crochet, solve crossword puzzles, and had a wonderful collection of Royal Albert tea cups. She was also widely known for her excellent pies and pastries. Clara was blessed with good health and lived on her own until shortly after her 97th birthday when she moved into Golden Acres Lodge. She passed away peacefully on September 1, 2012 at Golden Acres. Clara is survived by her two daughters: Donna Norlin of Wynyard,SK and Carol Foster of Mississauga, ON; two grandchildren: Roxanne Norlin of Sedley, SK and Darren (Lorraine) Norlin of Edmonton, AB; one sister: Josephine Mills of Regina, SK; one sister-in-law Edith Leniczek of Calgary, AB; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Clara was predeceased by her husband: George Foster March 19, 1964; her parents: Anton and Eleanor Leniczek; her siblings: Albert in 1919, Angeline in 1921, Lawrence in 1989, Edward in 2009, and Rose in 2011.
