Sheri Lenore Zeleny (Byman) passed away suddenly on January 7, 2016 at the age of 42. Sheri was born on January 29, 1973 to Beth and Eugene Byman, in Wadena. After graduating from Wadena High School in 1991, Sheri moved to Lethbridge and completed the Early Childhood Development course, she then moved back to Wadena and started her own daycare. She also worked part-time at the Kuroki Hotel and as an activity worker at Pleasantview Care Home. While working at the Kuroki Hotel, she met the love of her life, Perry. On December 4, 1997, Alex was born in Humboldt. Their family was started. Perry and Sheri were married on August 7, 1999 in Wadena. Together, they took over Perry’s step-father's farm, where they began their life as “farmers”. Sheri was a very active farm wife, working alongside Perry. Charlie was born on November 30, 2002, in Saskatoon; to complete the family and balance the ratio, along came Katie on December 16, 2004. Sheri’s life revolved around her family. She would not miss any of the kid's activities, from hockey, ball, dance, school trips, to fundraising. Whenever anyone needed help, Sheri was always there. She was a very involved community person. Sheri enjoyed her talks with the kids while travelling to and from their activities. Yearly camping at Greenwater Lake was a highlight. Perry and Sheri’s campsite was always open to anyone for a visit, a drink, appetizers, and a great cooked meal. Whenever people would visit the table was full of homemade appetizers, which included the preserves she did from her garden. Sheri loved to entertain. Sheri will be dearly missed by her husband, Perry; children, Alex, Charlie and Katie; father, Eugene; parent-in-laws, Margaret and Harry Shewchuk; brother-in-law, Bill (Debra), Shaune (Tanesha), Lyndon, Nelson; brother-in-law, Curtis (Tracy), Ryan, Tory, Sara; sister-in-law, Barb; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends which were like family to her.
