Memorial donation's in memory of Katie may be made to Wadena Hospital - Palliative Care, or Polio Saskatchewan. Kate Bobryk was born to Paul and Olga Tysiaczny on June 1,1930. She was welcomed into the family by her sister Stella. She has always had a positive attitude from a young child. She was diagnosed with polio at age 7. She was very determined and positive to walk and do things her way. It took her a year and a half, with first learning to crawl and walk all over again. With her eagerness and compassion for life she persevered and made it work her way. She managed to adapt to changes that worked for her. She met the love of her life John through John's sister Fannie and became best of friends. The friendship turned to love and Oct. 30, 1948, they were married. They lived with her parents for 3 years. In 1951 they bought a quarter of land and settled down. On July 2 1955, their first daughter Paulette Karen was born. In 1961 they were blessed with twin daughters Darcie Jenny Ann and Donna Ollie Kay, on Feb 10th. Which happened to be same day, as Kates parents' anniversary. On May 3rd 1963, they were blessed for the 4th time with Roxanne Sheila. They farmed until the early 70's, when they rented out their land and raised livestock until the mid 80's. Her passion was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her hobbies started with sewing, beading, gardening, canning and embroidery. The girls were always praised for the way they were dressed as she made most of their dresses and other outfits. There wasn't much she couldn't do. She cooked, was a fantastic baker of pies, bread and buns. When she made perogies and cabbage rolls, there was enough to feed an army. She was teased by her son-in law Darwin, about makings round things, especially her pies, when they would come home, sure enough, she would send some pies home. In all the years the only things she didn't do was milk a cow and drive a car. She joked about driving and dad said, "That's ok, I will take care of that". After Johns passing, she overcome a major obstacle in her life, when she fractured her hip. She spent 3 weeks in the hospital and wanted to go back to the farm. That was her dream. The tough person she was, she managed to go home. Off she was learning to walk with a walker, modified for her. She stayed on the farm until the last few weeks when she went to Pleasantview Manor. She is proud to leave behind her daughters: Darcie (Jerome), Donna (Jim), Roxanne (Darwin). Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Misty (Chris), Sequoia and Wren; Melissa (Earl) Naveah, Korvyn and Blayze; Brandi; Tyler; Jordan; Janelle (Haley), Connor and Mason: sisters-in-law, Mary Reutlinger and Joyce Tysiaczny. Numerous nieces, nephews, godchildren, and many family members. She was predeceased by her husband, John, in 2005; Her daughter, Paulette; her parents, Paul & Olga; and her siblings Stella and Lloyd. She was welcomed into the gates of heaven and greeted by her husband and companion of 57 years.
