John passed away peacefully at the Kindersley Heritage Manor surrounded by his family at the age of 85 years. John was born April 6, 1931 at Kandahar, SK and grew up on the farm near there. He married Barbara Loretta Weigel October 15, 1955. They lived in Wynyard and Raymore before moving to Kindersley in 1961 where they raised their family. John worked as a Mechanic (Shop Foreman) at Tisdale's Sales & Services. After retiring in 1990, they lived in Easton and Saskatoon before he returned to Kindersley in 2005 to live at Evergreen Manor. John was always a hard worker and taught his family the same values. He loved fishing and camping. In retirement he was an avid gardener who enjoying canning, freezing and giving away his harvest. He loved playing cards all his life and was always up for a game of crib. John was predeceased by his wife Barbara, granddaughter Jessica, parents Elizabeth and Bert Allen, brothers Bob and ken, sister Joan Brayshaw. He is survived by his children Darrel (Sandra) Allen, Susan Allen, Wanda (Wayne) Nickoleff, Sharon (Wray) Stannard, Brian (Tammy) Allen, and Ken (Geralyn) Allen, siblings Shirley Weigel and Bill Allen, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
