Prayers 7:00 p.m. Friday, October 20, 2017 The Chapel of Narfason's Wadena, Saskatchewan Funeral Service 1:30 p.m. Saturday, October 21, 2017 Elim Evangelical Free Church Fosston, Saskatchewan Arlie Lenae Kolbenson (nėe Bjerland) July 31, 1934 - October 16, 2017. Arlie was born in the West Shore District, SK. She attended West Shore and Nora Schools. She then continued her education in nursing in Tisdale, SK. Later years saw her back at school to increase her medical knowledge. Arlie married Carl Kolbenson on Dec 9, 1954 at Nut Lake Lutheran Church. They resided at their farm until 1970 when they moved to Woodbridge, ON. After Carl’s passing, Arlie and their children moved to Regina, in 1974. Arlie continued living in Regina until her passing. Left to mourn her passing are her son Curtis, daughter Trudy, brothers and sisters and sisters-in-law Larry (Lea) Bjerland, Donna Yamniuk, Peter (Karen) Bjerland, Mel (Peggy) Bjerland, and Lora Dahnke as well as many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Arlie was pre-deceased by her husband Carl in 1973, father Thorben in 1973, and mother Helga in 1981, as well as several sisters and brothers-in-law and nieces and nephews. Our family wishes to extend our deepest thanks to Dr. Kabongo and his staff for their tender care of Arlie. Viewing October 20, 2017 at 7 pm at Narfason’s Funeral Chapel, Wadena, SK. Funeral Service October 21, 2017 at 1:30 pm at Elim Evangelical Free Church, Fosston, SK. Pastor William Dyck officiating. Interment to follow.
