Garnet's nephew, Don, was very kind to inform us of Garnet's passing. While living in Preeceville, SK, we met Garnet at an auction, and discovered we had a BC connection: both Roland and Garnet worked in Port Alberni, and they shared stories of living on Vancouver Island. Like all people we met in SK, Garnet welcomed us to Prairie life. We very much enjoyed his company. We returned to BC in 2015, and during a visit back to SK in 2016, Garnet was the first person we visited: at his farm.
