In loving memory of Margaret Karakochuk. Margaret was born on March 21, 1934 on the family farm to John and Annie Kachur (Chorney). She passed away peacefully on February 27, 2020 with her loving family by her side. Margaret met Adolf while attending Halicz school. They were married on July 19, 1953 at Krasne Church. In 1955, they moved to the family farm and continued farming until 1972 when Adolf and Margaret moved their family to Wynyard. She worked at Crawfords/Plains Poultry for twenty- six years. During hockey season, you knew where you could find Margaret at her special spot, at the Wynyard Arena. (Even if she had to go two hours early) She thoroughly enjoyed watching all of the generations of hockey players from her sons, grandsons to great grandsons. She was very passionate of the Boston Bruins and the Saskatchewan Roughriders. She did not appreciate anyone insulting her teams, especially from Montreal Canadien fans. After Margaret’s retirement, she enjoyed making lunches for all her grandchildren and all their friends. She was also especially fond when all the great grandchildren came around. The grandsons would often say, that Baba would be at the school forty minutes before school ended to pick them up. She wanted to be first in line, so that they wouldn’t have to walk too far. Margaret enjoyed many family functions which always included perogies and cabbage rolls. Due to failing health, Margaret moved into Golden Acres in September 2018. She enjoyed her time there and was grateful for all of the wonderful care she received. Margaret is survived by her one daughter, Judy, and her three sons Melvyn (Rita), Dennis (Joy) and Wayne (Carla). She was very proud of her six grandsons; Blair (Nikki), Derek (Trezlie), Jordan, Logan and Jackson Karakochuk and Raul Duca (Cayla). She totally adored her six great grandchildren; Summer, Draecen, Huxley and Jager Karakochuk; Berkley and Kenzley Karakochuk. Her sisters; Mary Musney (Mervin), Sylvia Danchak, Angela Senkowski (Orest), and Gloria Dubiel (Terry); her brothers: Bill, Ronnie (Cynthia), and Lorne (Sharon); her sister-in-laws: Fran Kachur, Gladys Kachur and Stephanie Karakochuk; her brother-in-law: Andy Karakochuk; Special God-Daughter: Cheryl Solanik and her numerous nieces and nephews. Margaret was predeceased by her husband: Adolf Karakochuk; her parents: John and Annie Kachur; son in law: Mac Stadnyk; her brothers: Ray, Ed, Mike and Sly; her in-laws Bill and Mary Karakochuk, Eleanor Kachur, and Sally Kachur; Mike and Annie Lasuita; Rudy Karakochuk; Pete Danchak; her nephew: Daryl Kachur.
