Obituary
Blanche was born to Archie and Ethel Williams on Dec. 18, 1923 at Quill Lake, Saskatchewan and grew up on a small farm with a large (12) closely knit family south of Clair. Blanche attended Quill Lakeview school, a one room country school. She left home at an early age and “worked out” for farm families in the Wynyard/Grandy area. Blanche passed away peacefully on August 7, 2018 after suffering a heart attack on August 1. She married Edward John Broad on June 23, 1947. Shortly after they moved to the family farm southwest of Wynyard where they worked a mixed farm and raised 6 children. They remained on the farm until 1989 when they moved to a new home in Wynyard. Ed passed away in 1995 and Blanche lived there until she moved to Maple Grove in 2013. She was predeceased by her husband Ed, parents, Archie and Ethel Williams, mother and father-in-law Margaret and Arthur Broad, sisters Grace, Mabel Gislason, Evelyn Schedel, Alice Erickson; brothers Leslie, Harry and William Williams; sisters-in-law Dorothy Wingfield, Ivy Williams, Elsie Smith; brothers-in-law Alfred Broad, Wallace Broad, Richard Wingfield, Allan Johnson, Marvin Bonnar, Robert Schedel, Carl Gislason, Ed Erickson, Les Smith. She is survived by 6 children, 9 grandchidren and 17 great grandchildren: Barrie(Linda) - Carla (Ryan); Donna (Murray) Holly, Matthew, Beckett and Marshall; Kevin (Kristen) Grayson and Cole. Betty(Lyle) - David (Jenn) Danika, Zander, Riley; Kim (Roger) Jaden, Kaeli. Glen (Kobina) Keith(Sylvia) - Alana (Graham), Mya, Ayden, Alyxa; Kyler (Amber) Brody, Abby, Walker. Marilyn(Scott) - Graeme (Gill), Greg. Audrey(Barry). Sisters Mae Johnson, Florence Johannesson, Ethel Bonnar, Brother Stan; Sisters-in-law Chris Broad, Fjola Williams, Barbara Williams, Christine Broad and numerous nieces and nephews.
