Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 14, 2017 The Chapel of Narfason's 102 1st Street NW Wadena, Saskatchewan Marguerite “Maggie” Ann Bell was born on March 27, 1955 in Wadena, Saskatchewan to Angeline and Leroy Bell. She was raised on the family farm by Margo, and grew up loving farm life. During her childhood and adolescent years, Marguerite enjoyed baking, reading, and playing with her baby sister Colleen. Maggie attended Margo school and graduated in 1973. After graduation, she lived in numerous Saskatchewan cities, before settling in Yorkton. In Yorkton, Marguerite began work at Zellers and spent a majority of her career there as an assistant manager. For the last five years, Marguerite worked as a Wal-Mart employee. Maggie was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2013; after undergoing surgery she was declared as cancer free. In August of 2017, the unfortunate news of breast cancer came and she began chemotherapy. The chemotherapy took its toll on her body, but Marguerite was strong and determined to beat her diagnosis. On the evening of October 3, 2017, her courageous fight ended peacefully when she fell asleep in her home. Marguerite was very head strong and portrayed leadership skills throughout her life. During her employment years at Zellers, Maggie fostered many lasting friendships with employees that looked up to her and would come back to her for advice and guidance. She loved this part of her job and would fondly talk about her co-workers with a sense of pride. Marguerite was also a very caring and strong person. She cared deeply for her family and they were everything to her. She enjoyed spending time with and baking cakes with her great nieces and nephew. Every holiday and birthday, Maggie would make it a priority to be in Wadena with her family. Marguerite was predeceased by; father, Leroy Bell (2002); brother-in-law, Richard McClymont (2013).
