Funeral Mass 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2016 Descent of the Holy Spirit Ukrainian Catholic Church, Wadena, Saskatchewan Interment to follow at the Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Wadena, Saskatchewan Donations in memory of Christine may be made to the Saskatoon Children's Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan Christine Fedirko passed away peacefully on Monday, March 7, 2016 at Sunnyside Nursing Home in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Christine was born on January 15, 1922 in the Fosston District. She was the daughter of Andrew and Mary Nicholat. Christine married Paul Fedirko on June 1, 1946, seven children were born to this union. Christine farmed alongside Paul for many years east of Rose Valley, before retiring to Wadena. Christine remained in Wadena for 5 years after Paul passed. In 2007, she moved to Saskatoon and resided in Willow Grove Private Care. After 16 months she then moved to Keedwill Private Care and lived there until moving to Sunnyside Nursing Home in February of 2013. Christine is survived by 6 children, daughter, Verna (Bob) Maki; daughter, Louise (Victor) Motilag; son, Don Fedirko; daughter, Linda Fedirko; son, Larry (Louise) Fedirko; son, Mervin (Jolene) Fedirko. Christine also leaves to mourn many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Christine was predeceased by her husband Paul Fedirko; infant daughter; two infant grand-daughters and daughter-in-law, Brenda Fedirko.
