Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jimmie Allan Hoberg. Jim was born on November 25, 1954 and was the fourth child of Disa and Stanley Hoberg of Foam Lake, SK. Jim lived with his family on a farm in the Foam Lake area, until 1959 when the family moved to Leslie, SK. Jim attended school in Foam Lake and later “worked” at the Leslie Co-op, where he was the first to arrive and the last to leave everyday. The family would like to thank the employees of the Leslie Co-op (namely Arlene Daw, Vern Axford, and Marilyn Johnson) for the many years of kindness, care and fun given to Jim. You were much more to him, and us, than co-workers. He moved to Foam Lake in 2013, and spent his final few years in the Foam Lake Jubilee Home. Thank you to the staff of the Foam Lake Jubilee Home for your kindness and compassion in caring for our Jim. Jim was a very special person. He was friendly, outgoing and had a great sense of humour. He had many friends and acquaintances, and will be missed by many. Jim was pre-deceased by his parents, Disa and Stanley Hoberg; two brothers, Jerry and Kim Hoberg; sister-in-law Darlyne Hoberg, and brother-in-law Don Heath. He is survived by his brother Doug Hoberg, sister-in-law Ann Hoberg, sister Dianne Heath, and many nieces and nephews. We would also like to thank the many people of Leslie, Foam Lake, and surrounding area who made Jim’s life so enjoyable. Due to Covid the family has decided to have a private graveside service at a later date.
